Exercise For Life!:Reflection piece

For our Make A Difference project, my group mates and I wanted to encourage the youth of the CNMI to Exercise For Life. We wanted change their mindsets and remind them that exercise is VERY IMPORTANT and it has many BENEFITS. As a group, we tried to gather people to participate in our fun and easy activities which we had during SSHS Cultural Day. Personally, I found the activities fun and our participants said they enjoyed it as well. We may have not made a big impact in their lives, but at least we got them to take a step and start moving. If I am ever going to do this again, it would be with my family. I want to inform them of the benefits of exercise, get them moving, and it would be great family time. I will continue to spread my knowledge on the importance of exercise to anyone I care for or even give good advice to a friendly stranger.

  2. I love the idea of this project which is to get people to exercise. Exercise is very important in ones life and I am glad someone took action to motivate people to start exercising and to let them know how important it is!

  3. I think this is a great movement especially for the youth and people of the CNMI. It is nice to see people working together to make a difference in our community. I believe in what you all are doing and by reminding people how important exercise is you are positively impacting their lives. Awesome work!

  6. Family and Exercise are both important. It is good for family members to encourage one another to exercise and to experience fitness and wellness together.

I'm so glad your project turned out to be a success because it's so important for everyone, youths and adults alike, to understand the significance of staying fit and healthy and what types of impacts it could have on your life. I'm glad you all had fun as well in your activities, I wish I had gone! I hope you continue being an inspiration!! Overall, good job!!!

  14. I love how you guys are aiming to reach out to people to start getting in more exercise. In this generation more and more people continue to invest their time in technology and eating out leading to obesity, so this project sounds like an awesome idea to spread awareness.   15. I don't see any better way to get people up and active than a movement and I honestly feel that the more people who participate in physical activities, the more others would like to join and follow.

  16. I really admire how you and your team chose promoting exercise to Make A Difference considering the high rate of obesity on our island. This is a great and fun way to get us off our butts and phones and make Mr. Wollack proud! Good job guys! Keep it up!

    1. That is a great question! Well, we cannot force anyone to do anything, but hopefully with fun activities and encouraging friends we will inspire to aspire each other to take care of our health in any way that we can.

  21. This is wonderful reminder to our communities, families, and friends. We need a balance life and exercise should be in our daily schedule. It can be a minimal of 20 minutes to an hour. At the end of the week, it adds up to a healthier life style. Thank you for sharing. Great job team! Keep it up!

  25. I think this is a good experience for me I don't have much time to exercise my family and I are now trying to get into that,because being healthy is important and we should have more sports activities in Saipan that we can enjoy exercising. Good Job! and great learning!

  32. Keep it up, Gracie. Living a healthy lifestyle is the way to be. And doing it as a family and with friends is even greater. I personally mix up my exercises, such as t25, p90x3, boxing, running, or any sports activities. With a busy lifestyle, I keep my workouts at 30 mins. With that said, love you and keep on moving :)
